15 million square feet of
industrial/commercial space,
10,000 housing units, shopping
centers, and retail uses in
Northern Virginia. Large mixed-
use projects include University
Center (Loudoun County) and
McNair Farms (Fairfax County).

LITIGATION AND ALTERNATIVE
DISPUTE RESOLUTION

• Served as lead counsel in
complex, multi-party, document
intensive real estate, commercial,
and construction-related cases in
the federal and state trial and
appellate courts, as well as
pursuing alternative dispute
resolution techniques such as
mediation and arbitration.

• Examples include protracted
litigation before the United States
District Court for the Eastern
District of Virginia and the United
States Court of Appeals for the 4th
Circuit involving the Dulles Toll
Road Extension, and the United
States District Court for the District
of Massachusetts pertaining to a
Pennsylvania wastepaper
recycling plant.

COMMERCIAL TRANSACTIONS
AND BUSINESS LAW

• Practice experience in
virtually all facets of the corporate,
commercial, banking, and business
world, including corporate
operations, the negotiation and
drafting of commercial documents,
and the acquisition and sale of
business interests.

MUNICIPAL/LOCAL
GOVERNMENT LAW

• Served as counsel to a
Virginia municipal corporation
handling local government law
issues, including inter-
governmental negotiations and
transactions, jurisdictional
representation before the
Washington Metropolitan Area
Council of Governments,
legislative drafting, zoning
ordinance enforcement, land use,
RLUIPA, and FOIA litigation,
condemnation, regulatory matters
